Front Office Team

Shelterhouse is happy to welcome four of our wonderful volunteers to our front office!  Megan Granda, Leah Anderson, Debbie Keyser, and Carol Meier (shown l-r) have all agreed to work each week answering our crisis line, assisting residents and greeting visitors to our facility.  This is important work as they will be the "face" of Shelterhouse to those seeking our services.  In addition, their presence frees up staff to attend to other much needed tasks.  They will act as a team and provide coverage more than 15 hours each week.  We appreciate these committed and caring women!

One Billion Rising... at The Tridge!...and Shelterhouse representatives were in NYC... read all about it!

One Billion Rising is a global movement to raise awareness about violence against women and girls.  On February 14 community members gathered at the Tridge and rose. The event was captured on film and will be aired on MCTV in March.  ONE BILLION RISING began as a call to action based on the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 women on the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. With the world population at 7 billion, this adds up to more than ONE BILLION WOMEN AND GIRLS.

Three Shelterhouse representatives decided to head to the center of it all in the heart of New York City. Read all about their adventure in their own words in the latest news section of our website by clicking here.
We rose for you. And we rose for us. And we rose for every survivor we know and every survivor we don't. It was truly one of the most beautiful & powerful experiences of our lives! -Whitney.
Community Collaboration in Gladwin

several years in a row.

We are looking forward to a very special educational event. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple. Please call 426-9413 for your reservations.
