SEE Change...As it happens
March 2014

Spring is almost here - a time to sow the seeds that will lead to a future bounty. For social enterprises, that may mean a time to try new business ideas. Jonathan Wade explores just that in his article, The Value of Ideation. This month we also explore the concept of reinventing business with Bruce Poon Tip, the founder of award-winning G Adventures. And Verity Dimock takes a look at what's on the horizon for the social enterprise sector.

I did some research and found that the chances of me following through would be further enhanced if I put money on the line. But where should that money go if I failed to follow through on my commitment? What if it contributed to positive social change?

Read on to learn about Promise or Pay, a social enterprise that facilitates charitable donations by enabling people to put their money where their mouth is.

I have to admit, I'm a bit of an Olympics junkie, so it was hard to find any time for writing lately. But, as I sit here thinking about what I want to say about my day attending Social Enterprise Toronto (SET) 2014, I realize that SET 2014 and the Winter Olympics actually have a lot in common. What's clear to me is that, whether you're focusing on winning in sport or winning in social enterprise, there's no resting on your laurels if you want to be successful.
