Greetings!

Here are a couple news items in brief.

1. Our little Club is featured in this week's Indianapolis Business Journal in an article about the economic impact of youth sports.  Programming for your child, plus the revenue from our tournaments, generates annually $2,000,000. economic impact in Marion County and $1,000,000. In Hendricks County.  Read the article here:   http://unitedsoccerallianceindiana.org/documents/Dreamteamsfortourismindustry.pdf

2. The value of the 50,000 annual volunteer hours by parents is over $1,000,000. each year.

3.  Speaking of volunteering.  Rec Parents: still 2 Saturday game days.  Always need another person to greet families, run the snack bar, pay the refeerees.  Let us know you'll be there online here:  http://unitedsoccerallianceindiana.org/aboutus/volunteer/

Travel parents: it is time to register online to work a shift or two during Fusion Fall Classic tournamernt first weekend November here:  http://unitedsoccerallianceindiana.org/aboutus/volunteer/   Each travel team family is expected to work at least 3 hours to welcome guests, run the snack bar, line fields, direct traffic, be a field marshal (watch the game, check in teams).  We also need a leader or two to man the HQ tents.

4. Good luck to our Rec Plus teams playing in their season ending tournament this weekend!  Good luck to our travel teams playing in Zionsville's tournament this weekend and Fusion Fall Classic next month.

5.  Fusion Fall Classic 2013 tournament increased the number of teams by 15% this year....on top of the 10% increase last year!  We have teams coming to play next month from Wisconsin, Missouri, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and from all over Indiana!

6. Rec U8, U9-U0, U11-U12 League Soccer Stars game is Sunday afternoon November 3rd .

7.  SAVE THE DATE: USA of Indiana Annual Auction and Dinner is Saturday night, February 15, 2014, at the Colts Pavilion!  Good food, good company, silent auction, live auction, raffle......and lots of fun.  Look for a separate email seeking auction item donations from your or your business.  Each travel team is invited to create an auction basket of items.  We will send you a dinner invitation after New Year's.

8. NEW FREE (correct size) WINDOW STICKERS are now available at the Avon Soccer Complex and Mary & John Geisse Soccer Complex snack bars.  We will have some at the Brownsburg Paint Barn as well Saturday.

9. We've asked Hendricks Power to bring electricity to Brownsburg Soccer Complex.  We will install some security lights and have a working snack bar next year.  We also hope to power increased capacity pumps for both Avon and Brownsburg Soccer Complexes to help water the fields.

10. Turf management.  Both Avon and Brownsburg Soccer Complexes were seeded this month and a great deal of weed killer was applied all summer and fall.  The fields are looking better than ever (thanks also to Mother Nature last weekend).  We seek a donated tractor and aeration equipment.  One of the best treats for our fields is regular and deep aeration.  Look next week for some dirt and newly planted grass repairing holes in several Brownsburg fields.

11.  If you use Facebook or Twitter...."like us" or 'follow us' as often the latest news and dozens of pictures of players are posted.  Feel free to post soccer pictures to share.

More later....

Thank you for having your children play United Soccer Alliance of Indiana!
