USAi Announces New Directors of Coaching

One of the founding tenets of United Soccer Alliance of Indiana is to strive, always, for continuous improvement in every area of service to its members.  Players often seek improvement in soccer skills.  Key to player improvement is excellent coaching.  USAi has one of the best coaching staffs in Indiana including 50 professional travel team coaches and Technical Directors, 25 Rec Plus coaches and 250 Community Recreation and USAi TOPSoccer coaches.  In order to provide the highest level of training to its players, USAi President Steve Moore announced today several promotions, new hires, and a strengthened Coaching Staff.

Will Pfaffenberger is named USAi Soccer Director.  "Coach Will" is the former Director of Coaching for Fusion Soccer Academy.  "Producer Will" continues to be heard on "The Smiley Morning Show" on 99.5 WZPL-FM radio.  Pfaffenberger said, "The new leadership and improved programming in 2013 will truly make USAi one of the best youth development organizations in Indiana for young soccer players to learn, have fun, and play this beautiful game."

Vince Ganzberg is named Director of Coaching USAi Community Recreation.  Coach Ganzberg is the former Technical Director for Pike Youth Soccer Club since 2009, the former Director of Education for Indiana Soccer association for 10 years, a US Soccer and NSCAA National Staff instructor.  Coach Ganzberg is also US Youth Soccer Region II Grassroots Technical Director, both a teacher and head Coach for Bishop Chatard High School, Indianapolis.  Coach Ganzberg plans a new and improved USAi Rec Academy in the Spring 2013 season.  Individual teams in each group will train at the same time and soccer complex using a formal USAi Community Rec League curriculum and lesson plan.  Coach Ganzberg, along with Coach Junior, Coach Will, and several additional Technical Directors and Lead Coaches will be present to help model ideal training sessions and help each Rec Coach improve his or her skills.

Moore also named 4 new Directors of Coaching for the USAi Travel Division.

USAi Director of Coaching U8-U10 is Junior Miranda, formerly Director of Travel Player Development for Fusion Soccer Academy.  Coach Junior said "I'm excited about the opportunity to continue to focus on player development for all U8-U9-U10 travel players and all U7-U8 Rec players interested in playing competitive travel soccer."  Coach Miranda is an active member of the USAi Coaching Committee and USAi Curriculum Committee.  Coach Miranda also helps operate the USAi hosted Indianapolis Mayor Latino Soccer Cup.

USAi Director of Coaching U11-U12 Travel:  Dan Laughlin, current Head Coach of U11 and U9 girls travel teams, former Director of Fusion Soccer Academy Rec program, former Assistant Coach of Greenville College, IL Varsity Soccer. Coach Laughlin said, "I'm thrilled to work with the players and coaches of the U11-U12 age group. The 8v8 game provides a great opportunity to refine and master technical skills while introducing tactics that will prepare players for full sided, 11v11 game play."

Director of Coaching U13-U14 Travel: Warner Moses, former Director of Coaching Indy Burn and current Girls Varsity Coach Pike High School.  Coach Moses said "I've coached Pike Youth Soccer Club and Indy Burn for 20 years.  I'm glad to return to management as Director of Coaching.  I will help each Head Coach U13-U14 prepare players to succeed at their high school team tryouts."

Director of Coaching Senior Travel: Theron Smith, former Indy Burn Technical Director, current Girls Varsity Coach Covenant Christian High School, and former Pike High School Assistant Coach for ten years.  Coach T said, "I know what area high school coaches want to see their players learn from their club soccer team and what skills are expected at each level (freshman, JV and Varsity).  I look forward to working with our high school players and their club coaches to continually improve player development.  USAi u15-u19 players represent over 50 area high schools and I look forward to ongoing communication with area high school coaches about their players' development."

USAi Directors of Coaching will hold additional training sessions for each team.  The sessions will include stations for Goal Keeping training, technical training, fitness, and striker (finishing) training.

USAi Directors of Coaching will work daily with individual Head Coaches and Age Group Coordinators to implement the USAi Travel Curriculum and assure maximum benefit to each player, helping to improve the overall soccer experience for players, parents, coaches, and managers.

Easy to donate to USAi directly & via UWCI

EMPLOYER & WORK PLACE CAMPAIGNS DONATION

If you complete a pledge forms, e-pledge, or donor card at work:  you may direct all or part of your donation to United Soccer Alliance of Indiana by designating "Pike Youth Soccer Club" on the donor or pledge card.  You do not need the "number" as such numbers often change and your company may have an unique number.

Please check if your employer will match your contribution to the company Campaign.  If so, please make arrangements with your HR department or contact your Campaign coordinator.  Companies with workplace campaigns typically ask their employees to contribute through pledge forms or e-pledge so that each employee's contribution counts with their company campaign.

All money donated to United Soccer Alliance of Indiana via employer campaigns goes to player Tuition Assistance or field development, unless otherwise designated by donor.  United Soccer Alliance of Indiana, Inc., is a 501(c)3 not for profit.  Your contribution is tax deductible.
