October is Disability Employment Awareness Month in Manitoba

You should have already heard that Manitoba declared October as Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM). We are excited to share the news that the DEAM website is now live.

The DEAM Posters are now available. Please help us get the word out by ordering posters for placement in your work and common areas. Go to our Resources page to complete the order form. We are also arranging pick-up points for areas of Winnipeg and many rural locations. If you can offer your location for that purpose, please advise us when you place your poster order.

Be sure to check out the Career Exploration Week. It is a special week for people with disabilities to explore possible careers in Manitoba.

What can you do to help promote DEAM? Be sure to check out our home page of the DEAM website. See how some organizations are jumping on board to get the word out. Are you going to participate? Be sure to let us know so we tell everyone else about your efforts!

DEAM has a new video created to promote an understanding about disability accommodations in the workplace. Be sure to check it out and share the link with your networks  - so help get the word out there!

The DEAM calendar is filling up. Be sure to take a look so you don't miss one exciting event. If you have an event that helps support the message of DEAM and you would like to share it, please send DEAM an email.

Be sure to like DEAM on Facebook, follow DEAM on Twitter

or subscribe to the DEAM RSS feed.
