A quick reminder that Ability Axis is holding a special event, Making a Difference - with Richard Pimentel, May 31, 2013.

  • Great video featuring Richard - This week, Richard spoke to us about what he expects to present when he is here in Winnipeg. Watch this video & hear some of the topics that will be covered
  • Registration is open - Join us for the full day or either the morning or afternoon sessions 
  • Music Within Trailer - This is a full-length movie about Richard's life story. The first 50 people to register for the full day of Making a Difference will receive a free copy of the Music Within DVD
  • Register Now Early Bird prices end on May 17!

After May 31, there will be two groups of people in Winnipeg - those talking about this event and those hearing about it. Be sure that you are one of those who will be talking about it! The Early Bird deadline is coming fast - save until May 17, 2013. Registrations are open until May 24, 2013.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2013, the Accessibility for Manitobans Act (Bill 26) was tabled to the loud appreciation of many in the gallery and on the floor. You can read more on our News page. And if you weren't there in person, you can also watch the video on our video page.

We are excited to announce that Registrations for the Ability Axis Employment Expo are now open!

Particularly if you plan to have an Exhibit Booth, you might want to Register early. Go to our Registration Page to submit your registration online or download the PDF. Exhibitors, be sure you get your registration in by September 20, 2013 to save $50.00!

What Will It Take?: Advancing Vocational Opportunities for Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders . Beyond leading speakers such as Randy Lewis who has revolutionized vocational experience for persons with ASD, and Michelle Garcia Winner who has developed effective training for vocational success in ASD, an integral part of the event will comprise "on the ground" snapshots of leading vocational practices in ASD across Canada as well as "action groups" that will address key areas of vocational 'challenge' and work toward identifying and overcoming barriers, including developing strategies and action plans.
