Professional development opportunity coming up in June. We will offer three workshops for foreign language teachers this summer. One is specifically designed for teachers of Chinese. Registration is open now. Please go to our webpage for more details:

We congratulate our director, Jim Lantolf, for being the recipient of the 2016 Distinguished Scholarship and Service Award (DSSA) from the American Association of Applied Linguistics (AAAL).

Congratulations to Lantolf and Poehner!

We congratulate Jim Lantolf and Matt Poehner for being awarded the 33rd Kenneth W. Mildenberger prize for their book "Sociocultural Theory and the Pedagogical Imperative in L2 Education" published by Routledge. The Mildenberger Prize is given by the Modern Language Association of America (MLA) for an outstanding publication in the fields of language, culture, literature, or literacy with strong application to the teaching of languages other than English.
