Congratulations to Jack Stovitz, BookEnds student board member, who was honored yesterday by the Association of Fundraising Professionals as Los Angeles 2013 Outstanding Youth Volunteer at their National Philanthropy Day luncheon.  We are so proud of Jack and so honored that he has chosen to dedicate his time and energy to BookEnds.

BookEnds is a proud member of the leadership team of CLC, a group of our distinguised literacy peers who have come together to advocate for our children's education.  Last Friday, CLCLA launched its first literacy forum at UCLA to discuss the importance of reading at grade level by third grade.  For a full report on this important forum go to www.clc-la.org.
