Willa Zhang

"I am a student at the University of Chicago and am enjoying a summer surrounded by books and people who love books. Every kid should have a great book to escape into, and BookEnds makes that happen."

Summer has flown by with BookEnds
involved in some wonderful events:

We pSNL photorovided books to the Mayor's Summer Night Lights program, a wildly successful gang reduction effort.

United Talent Agency volunteers sorted 3,000 books in an hour - a new record!
UTA sorting

AABLI
We attended the summer mixer of the African American Board Leadership Institute (AABLI).

And we continued our advocacy work with the CLC-LA.
CLCLA

And we've been visited by some wonderful people:

Rebecca Rebecca dropped off books she had collected "just because" from her community at Temple Israel of Hollywood.

Prudential analysts Prudential sorted 2,552 books - a number, they noted, that reads the same backwards and forwards!

Michael from Subaru of America, Inc. personally presented BookEnds with a generous grant! Subaru

AND Aaron Aaron dropped off 1,500 books and inspired us with his commitment to make the world a better place by picking one project per year to which he and his community devote themselves.
