"I really love that what we are exchanging is the experience and the present moment together. That creates connection and for me, connection is everything, it creates a community."
--Beverly Fregoso, Los Angeles 2016 Trauma-Informed Yoga Training graduate
Dear friend,
Here at Street Yoga, we are all about cultivating a community of compassion and inclusion. We believe that every body should have access to the grounding and calming benefits that a yoga practice offers -- regardless of age, race, ethnicity, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, spiritual beliefs and financial means. Our programs aim to reach out, connect and serve people from all walks of life. In turn, we are grateful to be chosen to be a part of generous communities such as 8 Limbs Yoga Centers and Tulafest Seattle. 8 Limbs Yoga Centers has chosen Street Yoga to be their Community Giving Partner for 2016. In the month of May, their Seattle studios have donated part of their profits -- $4,000 -- in support of our efforts to bring yoga and mindfulness to at-risk youth. Tulafest Seattle, a one-day festival celebrating all things yoga, has chosen Street Yoga as one of their featured charities. This joyous festival has provided us with a platform that allows us to share our stories with like-minded people who are passionate about yoga and mindfulness. We have an amazing summer lineup this month! Join us at any of our July trainings, community building and fundraising events, and be a part of Street Yoga's ever-growing community!
With gratitude,
