Dear friend

Last month we shared with you some of our exciting plans for 2015. This month we are excited to announce that we are looking for someone to join our team as Program Director and Development Manager to help us carry out our mission of bringing the healing and empowering tools of yoga to youth.

As excited as we are to welcome a new staff person, we are sad that we will be losing the founder of the Seattle Branch. After 5 years at Street Yoga, Stephanie is stepping down from her current role as Co-Executive Director to be home with her son. Her last day will be March 20. She says,

This was a very difficult decision to make as I love Street Yoga - the mission, the work, and all of the wonderful people - with all of my heart. One of the greatest pleasures of my job has been collaborating with all of you. I am immensely grateful for the Street Yoga community. Although I will no longer be staff, please know that I intend to volunteer in the future and continue to be connected to this wonderful community and our shared mission.

Stephanie's departure is opening the door for a new member to join our team. You can read more about the open position on our website. Please help us spread the word!

With warm wishes,

Jessica & Stephanie

We've been looking for new ways to collaborate with studios in the Seattle community.  We believe that the yoga community is strongest when its members support one another!  Street Yoga will use its networks and social media channels to promote your studio and upcoming workshops or events in exchange for a donation-based class at your studio in support of Street Yoga programming. Ready to learn more?  Check out our website.
The KEXP Community Partnership Benefit Show was a huge success-- 150 people came to enjoy the music of Jen Wood, Tangerine and Ruler!  Columbia City Theatre donated nearly $1000 to support the work of Street Yoga!

Big thanks to DJ Sharlese of Audioasis, DJ El Toro, and everyone at KEXP who made the benefit show a reality for Street Yoga!  It was a huge honor to be selected as one of your 2015 Community Partners-- you're all high quality, high class folks and we're thrilled to have been a part of this great experience!

Huge gratitude to everyone who participated in our end-of-the-year, annual give campaign: Exhale Joy.  We're humbled by your generosity and pleased to announce that you donated more than $10,500 to further Street Yoga's work!
