Street Yoga: Changing Lives One Breath at a Time
February Newsletter
Greetings!

Happy start to 2014 everyone!  First off, many thanks to all who supported Street Yoga throughout the last year.  We were blessed by how freely you gave of your time, energy, and finances.  Because of you, Street Yoga ended 2013 stronger than we did in 2012.

A SPECIAL THANKS TO:

  • 2013 donors!  We are humbled by your generosity, grateful for your support and committed to offering thoughtful, inspired, yoga classes to our youth and on-going education for our volunteers.
  • Participants and supporters in our New Years Day 108 Sun Salutations fundraiser hosted by  Beloved Presents and Yogi Tunes along with a generous sponsorship by Causeit.  We raised over $10,000 and had an amazing time connecting deeper into the Portland yoga and mindfulness community.

How have we used your donations over the last year?   CLASSES AND RESEARCH!

In addition to offering yoga to youth we also conducted our first comprehensive program evaluation capturing data on the impact of yoga on youth.  We piloted a study at Ryther Child Center to learn about the impact of yoga on body awareness and resilience. The full study is available to read on our website here!

In Gratitude,

The Street Yoga Team
