Peace & Prosperity
How we ground into the world, as it is.

Campbell Salgaldo Studio
Dear Friends,
What a year! I hope you are finding the mystery, the struggle, the peace, the joy, the truth and the moments of spaciousness in-between.

Yoga is an invitation to a better life. We are a community through this practice. We are here to grow our hearts, our bones, our capacity for love and wisdom. We align ourselves in truth, and this allows a sense of peace to become available for everyone around us..

We support of every single person feeling safe in their bodies.
Knowing that all are deserving of love, and respect.

Your support reinforces the core belief that each
person has essential value and gifts to give.

Amidst all the chaos there are heartbeats that align with integrity when people face adversity together.
This is when the deepest sense of community appears.

Imagine,  today...
what amount of a gift would cause you to go home and discuss this level of investment
with your family; with your financial adviser.
The kind of gift that you would feel proud to share with friends and family because it represents a piece of who you are... how you exist in the world.

Let us know how that kind of commitment that
resonate with you... regret? Or hope?

This was a rocky year for Street Yoga.
We are growing, and rapidly.
The demand for our programs is beautiful and abundant.

Your support enables a level of stewardship and sustainable growth for a community building organization.

We want you to tell us:
What is your dream for Street Yoga?
We seek your participation in making life feel abundant, and creating hope in places where despair claims lives.

$1,000 sounds like a huge gift to someone like me.

Street Yoga is a grassroots non-profit with staff members that all engage their hearts and souls in  part-time employment to build an organization that will not just continue, but lead... inspire... and ELEVATE.

So I ask you $96/month... would that feel  accessible to you?
I think to myself, what would that take? What would I sacrifice each month to be that level of a steward for Street Yoga?

This is a cause worth fighting for. Join Us.

Peace & Prosperity,
Alice Puckett

Program Update
Celebrating  our unique expression of love & life

While teaching a few weeks ago, the teens chose to do "dance circle' as one of the activities for class. I witnessed for 15 minutes a group of teens expressing themselves freely after I set the example. We were stomping on the floor, moving our bodies, and making sounds. We all had a lot of fun while experiencing feelings of power and freedom. I felt grateful to witness that.

Street Yoga Teacher Training Feedback:

Dear Mark:

This is Laura E., I attended your training in NYC.  I am from upstate New York in Rochester.  I wanted to share with you a glimpse of success I had this evening. I offered my first yoga session for a group of girls at a local residential facility tonight.  The atmosphere was very similar to the one that we created in our training and it actually felt really comfortable to me because I felt like it was exactly what I was anticipating (thanks to your training).  There were varying levels of interest among the whole group as they gathered in, but I successfully taught them sun salutation A by breaking it up into two sections and putting it all together.  All 10 girls were doing it together followed by a fun balance of tree pose.  It was really exciting to watch.

I will also be volunteering to another group of young women in a homeless shelter, I met with them last week.  Thank you so much again for everything that you offered us in the training...I would have never felt as prepared if I didn't go through it!

All my best,
Laura

Community Building
Opportunities and Offerings

After our volunteers complete the Street Yoga Teacher Training, we partner them with a lead teacher in our programs, to begin their path as a co-teacher in an environment of support. Julie Sage-Lauck, our Program Director, launched our first ever Weekly Volunteer Support Meetings, every Tuesday at 6pm. Additionally, we partner with experts in fields related to our work, whether that is trauma-informed research, kids yoga, non-violent communication, etc., in order to provide continuing education opportunities for our volunteers.

"Anyone can do this... earnestly show up as humbly as possible, as open-hearted as possible and just accept what happens. Part of my job is to work on acceptance so that other people can practice it too Earnestly showing up is really 90% of it and that's how the amazing things will happen."
