Developing political influence in Washington
TCLG client UA Local 598 earlier this year took a huge step toward having the at-large political community take notice of its efforts.
Through a 100-percent successful check off, members now contribute directly from their paycheck to the political action committee. This solidifies the commitment to the union's political voice, which creates the momentum for making a difference.

Building Arizona 2013 Tour showcases construction trades training programs
We're proud to have organized a tour of four top-notch training programs in Phoenix that are turning out high-skilled workers.
More than 50 elected leaders from across the state came out for demonstrations and information about the construction-skills development offered by UA Local 469, SMART 359, Ironworkers Local 75 and IBEW Local 640. We need to keep Arizona's workforce competitive, and training sets our clients apart from the competition.

Focus on team building: Disneyland We have a great team of professionals who care about what we do everyday at TCLG. Our leadership believes its important to invest in our team and reward successes, which is why we took a road trip to Disneyland. We celebrated several client wins and took time to better know each other, which improves team dynamics and helps us work better for you. We returned energized and more committed to serving each other and our clients.

Getting to the truth by filing FOIA lawsuits
Public records are essential to determining whether a contractor is getting away with cheating on prevailing wage laws. That's why TCLG sued the Department of Energy (DOE) twice this year and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) once in an effort to gather public documents necessary to investigate potential prevailing wage violations.
Both lawsuits against the DOE deal with heavy redaction of records, while the VA lawsuit is for failing to provide public records in a timely manner.

National webinar series focuses on catching cheating contractors
TCLG successfully completed a series of quarterly webinars designed to equip construction trade unions with tools to uncover efforts to cheat prevailing wage laws. This first series - in partnership with United Association - attracted more than 150 participants from around the country.
