ODP Communication 061-14: DPW Medication Administration Programs Fall 2014 Schedule and the Closing of Registration on 9/19/14---Time Sensitive Info

Time Sensitive: Attention and action should be taken if your current certification is set to expire on or before December 31, 2014.

 

AUDIENCE:   Agency/Entity Administrators, Medication Administration Primary Contacts,     Agency/Entity Training Directors, Existing and Prospective Medication Administration Trainers, employed by one of the following applicable, DPW or Department of Aging licensed environments:

 

PURPOSE: This announcement provides information about the scheduling of face-to-face classroom sessions during the fall of 2014 and the closing of registration on September 19, 2014 for trainer candidates and recertifying trainers.

 

DISCUSSION: This notification impacts staffs that participate in the medication administration program who are employed by one of the above licensed programs that are eligible to participate in the medication administration course.

 

PLEASE REVIEW THE ATTACHED COMMUNICATION FOR MORE SPECIFICS.

PIMCC Nurses Seminar

PIMCC is offering a seminar for nurses on September 18, 2014 at the CCAP Office in Harrisburg. The session will cover drug and alcohol counseling; HIPAA and the corrections environment; mental health first aid; and corrections care and mental health stress.

 

The session is free for PIMCC members, and $150 per person for non-members. Lunch is included.
