CCAP Office Consolidation and Change of Address  

As of July 15, 2014 CCAP will close its office in downtown Harrisburg and will no longer accept calls at the 232 number or correspondence at that location.

 

All staff will be together under one roof at the newly renovated and expanded headquarters in suburban Harrisburg (formerly known as the North Office). All calls should be directed to (717) 526-1010, and faxes to (717) 526-1020. Specific staff extensions will remain the same. Written correspondence should be directed to PO Box 60769, Harrisburg, PA 17106-0769.

JDCAP is once again hosting a PA Juvenile Justice Services Conference

 

This year's conference theme is 

 

Learning and Sustainability; Bridging the Gap Between Learning and Performance

Our conference will be held at the

Lancaster Marroitt at Penn Square September 24 - 26, 2014

PRC Frequently Asked Questions Announcements

The PRC has posted new interpretive guidance from the Department of Justice on the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) web page. The additions include FAQs 6, 7, 8, and 9 under General, FAQs 8 and 13 under Audit and Compliance, FAQs 4 and 7 under Cross-Gender Supervision, FAQs 4 and 5 under Screening, and FAQ 1 under Inmate Reporting.

 

PREA Auditor Training - Submit Your Application

The PRC is still accepting applications for candidates who would like to attend the November 2014 session of PREA auditor certification training. The PRC is also accepting applications for additional auditor trainings in 2015. Dates and locations of these trainings are to be determined, but please submit an application as soon as possible to ensure its timely review.

PA Youth Survey Webinars 

Since 1989, the Commonwealth has conducted a survey of school students in the 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th grades to learn about their behavior, attitudes and knowledge concerning alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and violence. The 'Pennsylvania Youth Survey,' or PAYS, is sponsored and conducted every two years by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD).

 

The EPISCenter is excited to announce a new series of webinars focused on PAYS that will provide insight and assistance on how to utilize the PAYS data that will have an impact on local schools, communities, and families. Webinars will be offered on Fridays from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. as follows:

Webinar To Explore Leveraging Social Security Title IV-E To Support Juvenile Justice Programs

On August 21, 2014, at 3 p.m. ET, the Coalition for Juvenile Justice will present "Using Title IV-E for Juvenile Justice: The Multnomah County Experience." This Webinar will focus on how jurisdictions can leverage Title IV-E of the Social Security Act to support home- and community-based programs and services in their juvenile justice system. Participants will learn what programs and services are eligible for Title IV-E reimbursement, explore ways that stakeholders can support implementation of Title IV-E programs in their communities, and gain insights from Title IV-E implementation in Multnomah County, OR.
