Positions: Engineering Interns
Full Stack Software Engineer
Hi DEN,
My name is Branko Cerny, I'm a D'13, and in 2012 I co-founded SquareOne Mail, Inc.
Like most Dartmouth students, most terms I found myself juggling a number of responsibilities. Everything

really peaked for me in junior year, when I took on the Publisher role at The D. And because Dartmouth is incredibly email-centric, I was soon drowning in several hundred messages every day. Some were very important and time-sensitive, while others were funny stories from my fraternity or endless listserv emails about lost jackets/wallets/donkeys. However, I had to read every single one immediately when the notification would show up on my phone, to make sure that I was not missing anything time-sensitive. Most days, I would find myself overwhelmed, and dreading my inbox every morning.
As I started looking into the problem more, it soon turned out that the email overload problem was by no means specific to Dartmouth. In fact, surveys show email to be the #1 stressor and productivity killer in the corporate world. I figured there must be a better way to interface with email. I got together with my co-founders, Sang Lee D'13, and James Mock D'15, and we started to come up with a revolutionary approach to the inbox.
Square One Mail is the result. We've come a long way since our diaper days: we were incubated by a VC firm, and just recently raised a seed

round of funding in the Bay Area. We are working to accomplish a paradigm shift in how people interact with email: away from a stressful cluttered laundry list, toward an email client that is specific to the communication world of the user, and serves as a personal assistant.
As we gear up for the launch of our first product in about 2 months, we're looking to expand our technical team. We're looking for paid engineering interns and/or a full stack software engineer.

RINSE Needs a VP of Engineering / Technical Lead
Hi Everyone,
James Joun and I (both Dartmouth '03s) recently co-founded a startup in San Francisco called Rinse. Briefly, we are creating a seamless dry cleaning & laundry experience for our customers through a combination of technology, great customer service, and strong back-end partnerships (an easy way to think of it is as an "Uber" for dry cleaning & laundry).
We recently kicked off a recruiting process for a VP of Engineering / Technical Lead.
If you or anyone you know are looking to join an exciting startup at the ground floor and have total ownership and freedom over building the technology that will
support the business, please let me know. Our job description can be found here.
Additionally, we are looking to add several part-time drivers in the near-term to drive for a few hours in the evening (e.g. after 7pm). These are important hires for us since each person who picks-up and delivers clothes will be a representative of our brand. If you know of someone in San Francisco who is looking to earn some extra income and could represent the brand well (e.g. recent Dartmouth alums!), please let me know. For the right person, this could grow into a full-time role as we think about recruiting, training, and managing drivers.
If any of this sounds interesting to you, or if you know anyone who might be interested, please feel free to e-mail me directly at ajay@rinsenow.com.
Thanks for the help!
Best,
Ajay Prakash D'03
Call for Dartmouth start-ups interested to present
at the Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum 2013
September 6th | Bay Area
Prizes for pre-funding startups
1st place $25,000 | 2nd place $5,000 | 3rd place $2,500
On Friday September 6th, Dartmouth venture capitalists and tech executives from the Bay Area will host the Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum 2013 at the Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale. This all day event will include two tracks of over a dozen Dartmouth startups presenting to Dartmouth VCs and tech execs, along with main tent speakers of Dartmouth founders from successful tech companies. We are expecting an audience of over 200 alums affiliated with Dartmouth, including the College, Tuck School of Business, and Thayer School of Engineering. The Forum will have plenty of opportunity for visibility and feedback for all presenting Dartmouth companies, and there will be cash prizes for the earliest start-ups. And for all attendees, the Forum will offer unparalleled networking with other Dartmouth alums that are interested in technology.
We are inviting Dartmouth affiliated startups from DEN chapters around the country to submit an application to present at the Forum. Whether you are a pre-funding startup or a funded startup, we encourage you to apply. Please apply by August 5th in order to get full consideration for selection as a presenter.
Startups: there will be two tracks of companies presenting: pre-funding startups who have not received funding in excess of $100,000; and funded startups who have already raised more than $100,000 in equity or convertible debt funding.
Pre-funding startups
will have a presentation contest with panels of Dartmouth judges and cash prizes for the winners.
