It's May!!!

In Minnesota, that means we are in the midst of a sensory explosion.  The beauty of the blooms bursting forth from our fruit trees is only matched by their fragrance, the lush green grass is like a painters canvas upon which God paints the earth with His majesty, the singing birds and baby geese are a sure sign that winter is gone, spring has come, and summer is nearly here!

In case you haven't guessed, I love spring.  Though it's the busiest time of our year and stress is hardly manageable, I make time to take walks in nature and soak up God's creation.  I marvel at the simple things; mushrooms growing in the woods, a seed sprouting from the earth, a birds nest in a tree...as I take them in, I recognize the complexity of life, and I wonder how anyone can question God's existence.  I don't have enough faith to do that!   Not only does God exist, but there is proof of His existence everywhere I look...He's all around us!!!

The next time you take a walk, look around and consider God's creation.  From the rotten log springs forth a mushroom, a glorious fungi speckled with colors and intricacies, perhaps poisonous or perhaps a delicacy; the seed that was dead bringing forth life that bears shade, beauty or fruit for us to eat; a nest woven together by a beak that protects an egg, that eventually hatches into a helpless hatchling , is protected, nurtured and fed until it becomes a finch and one day sings a melody as beautiful as the finest orchestra... just because God gave it breath!

God is all around us, and, to me, spring proclaims that truth like no other season.  As you are out an about this spring, please stop by to see some of the beautiful plants we sell, to pick up some needed garden supplies, or just to say "hi."  Our hope is that we can share some of God's goodness with you as He uses you to share His goodness with us...that's right, He's inside of all us, we were created in His image, we just need to let Jesus in so that we can let Him out!
