As I write this greeting, the sun is peeking up in the eastern sky, the birds are singing their early morning songs, and the grass is turning green right before my eyes...unfortunately, the weather people are also predicting another bout of cold, rain or snow. Though unseasonably cool, I cherish the fact that spring will eventually come to stay because God has ordained it to be so!
I am always amazed by God's creation, but especially in springtime! I can't help but remember Ecclesiastes 3 and reflect upon the "seasons" in my life.I have had seasons of new life, seasons of lush growth, seasons of pruning and refining, seasons of rest, seasons of sowing and seasons of reaping what I have sown.
Regardless of the season of my life, one constant has always remained: God has never left me nor forsaken me! During the best of times and the worst of times, He has always lavished His love upon me, providing strength for the day, and, when I lean on Him, bright hope for tomorrow!
So, regardless of whatever season you find yourself in, as Proverbs 3: 5-6 says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
This spring, I pray that you will experience new life in Christ; that you will accept His free gift of salvation and that you will soak up His love for you like a sponge! I pray that you will be transformed from within and that the Holy Spirit will not only bring you healing, restoration and joy, but that it will overflow from you and impact your family, your friends, your workplace, our community and all the way to the ends of the earth. I pray this not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit!!!
