Waldorf-Inspired Children's Enrichment Class Age 6 - 12 Tamara Teeter Knapp

Circle time with seasonal songs & movement
Math reinforcing activities with bean bags/clapping or kinesthetic math games
Short fable or legend story - told orally
Wet-on-wet painting

wet_wet Supply list
Stockmar brand watercolor paints: (1 each) Ultra marine blue, Vermillion Red and Sun Yellow. Please pre-dilute these with water, each in a glass ball jar with tight fitting lid.
1 empty glass jar
1 pack of 140 lb. water-color paper  (11"x14")
Three quarter inch flat water color brush
1 small natural sponge
1 painting board (larger than water color paper size)

A little bit about the instructor: Tamara Teeter Knapp earned a B.A. in Art and Psychology from the University Alaska Anchorage and a Certificate in Art and Healing from Ringling College of Art and Design. She received Waldorf Teacher Training at Rudolf Steiner College and also holds a teaching certificate in the state of Florida for K-12 Art and Elementary Education. She has received special training in Creative Drama for Creative Learning provided by the Kennedy Center for the Arts and completed Collaborative Leadership Training with Torin Finser of Antioch New England.
As an educator, Tamara's roots are in the Waldorf movement. Her sixteen years of teaching wet_wet_2 experience began at the Aurora Waldorf School in Anchorage, Alaska where she taught second and third grades. She also taught first grade main lesson at Country Day School in Taos, NM before relocating to Florida. Here, she began teaching art in the public school where she most recently taught second grade. Tamara continues to teach expressive arts and studio art through Expressive Arts Florida Institute. She is always excited to share her passion for the arts with children and adults of all ages.
