 Going Global 2013, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 4-6 March 2013 

Going Global 2013-3Going Global 2013 is the biggest and most important international educational event on the British Council calendar. Held at the World Trade Centre in Dubai, the conference will provide an invaluable forum for government ministers, education leaders and academics from around 80 countries to meet with opinion formers and business leaders to explore education's changing role in developing economies. Last year's Going Global attracted over 1000 delegates and this year's is on course to equal or surpass that figure. 

 

Skills, employability and enterprise will play a greater role than ever in this year's Going Global, with internationally renowned speakers and exciting sessions including:

  •  Creating the conditions for jobs and growth in a global economy
  •  Does international collaboration really work?
  •  English language: a skill for the globalised 21st century
  •  Driving China's economy: can education deliver?
  •  Enterprise: a vehicle of change? 

Delegates will also be invited to a technical education and skills reception on Monday 4 March from 1600 to 1730 which will provide an outstanding opportunity for delegates with an interest in technical education and skills to meet and network.
