Celebrating Child-led LearningVol. III, issue 6
November/December, 2012

This year a hurricane led us into the holidays.  Many of us are still recovering while the season is upon us.  Children are busy making ornaments, performing plays, caroling, and hoping for snow.  New York City is magical at this time of year, lit up like a treasure trove.  After a walk in Central Park, we can go home, make popcorn and hot chocolate, read a good book, and get cozy.  It's time to celebrate the season!

Quote by Viola Spolin

"We learn through experience and experiencing, and no one teaches anyone anything. This is as true for the infant moving from kicking to crawling to walking as it is for the scientist with his equations. If the environment permits it, anyone can learn whatever he chooses to learn; and if the individual permits it, the environment will teach him everything it has to teach."
