After visiting the GreenFlea Market continue your hunt for those perfect gifts! STROLL four blocks south along Columbus Avenue, STOP at the intersection of West 72nd Street, and walk west along 72nd Street to SHOP local! STROLL, STOP and SHOP!

Lighting the holiday snowflakes that decorate the 15 historic Bishop's Crook lamp-posts (see header image: The historic "bishop's crook returns to West 72nd Street." LW! Newsletter, Spring 1998) that LW! organized.

Back in 1998, West 72nd Street had just 7 cobra-headed streetlights.   

In December of 1999, these were replaced and doubled in number  

by the Bishop's Crook lamp-posts that flank the street today by LW! and our

then City Councilwoman Ronnie Eldridge.
