OUTREACH EVENT
Birthday Bag Stuffing
Sunday January 31
After Church in rooms 201-202

Children and Youth wanted to help stuff Birthday Bags for children at Glazer Elementary in Detroit. Every student at Glazer Elementary receives a Birthday Bag at a special assembly during school. The bags contain all the contents to make a birthday party: cake mix, candles, etc.

Parents may attend the annual meeting being held in the Hospitality Center during this special event. We will meet in room 201/202 at 11:30am and lunch will be provided.

Item of the Month
During the month of January we will be collecting items for the Birthday Bag Program for Glazer Elementary.

Please bring in a few of the following items: cake mix, vegetable or canola oil, birthday candles, stickers, paper plates, children's book. Please place your donations in the bins located in the Narthex and at the South Entrance.

These donations will be sorted and re-assembled into "a birthday party in a bag" by our children and youth and delivered to Glazer Elementary children.

Thank you for helping God's children.

Scout Sunday

The Scout Sunday tradition was stared to make people in houses of worship aware of Scouting, and to allow Scouts to live out their "Duty to God" which is pledged each week.   On this day we encourage all scouts: girl scouts, boy scouts, and venturers to wear their uniforms.  You will see scouts as acolytes, greeters and readers.  If you have questions or would like to participate please contact jbednas@christchurchcranbrook.org). cub_scouts.jpg
