| Upcoming Healing Services | | |
Blue Christmas Service
Sunday December 20, 2015 at 4:00 PM
This service offers comfort, hope, and healing for all who are challenged by this year's holiday season. The holidays have a way of focusing and heightening our sorrows, sadness and fears. We can feel "out of step" with the celebration going on everywhere around us. We are missing our loved ones, worrying about money, and obtaining suitable employment, wondering what's true. At the Blue Christmas service, we will have a chance to address the sad, dark things that are weighing us down and ask God's help to endure them, pray for their healing, and reach for hope. The Service will include: Prayer & Song, Comforting scripture and words of encouragement, Holy Eucharist, Healing station for very specific and private prayer, and Pastoral counsel light refreshment & friendly companionship.
Healing Services
Weekend of December 26 and 27
Holy Scripture teaches us that Jesus healed many people and that he sent his disciples out to continue the work of healing in his name. The Episcopal Church substantiated anointing and laying on of hands hundreds of years ago and it continues in today's times. Healing prayer and anointing with oil offers strength, comfort and healing. You may ask for healing for physical, emotional or spiritual needs for yourself or someone else. Healing prayer and anointing are offered every Sunday during the 10:00 AM Eucharist in the Baptistry and on December 26 and 27, all of the services will offer healing to the entire congregation.
Healing Ministers to be Inducted into the International Order of St. Luke The Physician
Our Healing Ministry Team has been reading books on healing and have completed a Bible Study Project which consist of studying 26 scripture passages that reference healing. Several members feel called to join the International Order of St. Luke The Physician an Ecumenical Christian Ministry dedicated to the Christian Healing Ministry. The Order of St. Luke is an organization of faith, prayer, and service with Chapters throughout the world. Our Regional Director, The Very Rev. Tony Begonia, will be at Christ Church Cranbrook on December 27 to induct several parishioners along with pastor Joyce Matthews into the OSL and Pastor Joyce will be admitted into the Chaplaincy Order as well.

| The Rector's Forum | | |
Living Religion(s)
Sundays at 9:00 AM in the Hospitality Center
We live, as the saying goes, in interesting times. Religion, once considered a spent force in society, continues to figure in world events as a source of conflict and compassion, of violence and peace, of wounding and healing. Join us for an informative and interesting look at some of the world's religions as we look for the overlaps that exist between them as well as their different claims about God and humanity.
The Rector's forums are recorded and can be viewed by clicking HERE.
