Recital at 5:30 PM
Choral Evensong and God in the City at 6:00 PM
Reception and Discussion at 7:00 PM
This year, at our Choral Evensong services, we will provide an opportunity for activists, academics, clergy, community leaders, and artists to share how they find God in the midst of their work in the Greater Detroit Area and beyond. After offering a sermon at our monthly Choral Evensong, they will offer additional remarks and take questions about the work they do during a special reception.
God in the City
Please join us for our new special program, God in the City which occurs as part of our regular offering of Choral Evensong this Sunday at 6:00 PM. The event will be preceded by an organ recital at 5:30 PM. Following the service of Evensong there will be a reception and discussion with our guest preacher, Dr. Glenda Price.

About Evensong:
Christ Church Cranbrook is one of the few churches in Michigan to offer choral evensong. The Anglican service of Evensong is the result of the joining in the 16th century of two of the ancient monastic offices - Vespers and Compline - into one service by Thomas Cranmer, the first Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury. The Evensong service is made up entirely of prayers set to music. The majority of the service is sung by the choir on the behalf of the congregation. Evensong is a deeply meditative and prayerful experience, and we are proud to offer you the chance to come and experience this special form of worship with us.
