- Mensch of the Week
- We continue our character education program which includes a monthly value that will be discussed during the school day and during services. Our November theme is Kehilah (community) and we emphasize the importance hospitality, friendship and living in a community. Rabbi Rosen met with our 2nd grade this week and talke about the importance of Kehilah.

Number of the students presented high values of kindness and entered the Mensch Box (which is located in the Administration lobby):
Taylor Bazarsky (2nd) - always setting a good example for his peers.
Garret Kaplan (2nd) - always setting a good example for his peers.
Joshua & Leah Cororve (3rd) and ( 1st ) - bringing their whole Tzedakah box - such kindness toward our school.
Jacob Roubein(5th) - moving an obstacle away so no one would trip.
Molly Turboff (1st) - on her own retrieving an item that belonged to a friend from the trash can.
Adam Katz (2nd) - helping a friend sign on to AR.
Elah Tuchshnieder (1st ) - helping her classmates find their missing library books.
Maxey Levinton (2nd ) helping a friend clean up a drink spill.
Molly Turboff (1st) - helping wipe up a spill without being asked.
Brady Dow (1st) - getting paper towels from the bathroom to clean up a spill without being told to do it.
Lauren Miller (1st) - helping clean up a spill that someone else did.
Emma Seunsom (3rd) - taking Mrs. Bormaster's rolling cart to the classroom when Mrs. B had to rush home to get something she forgot to bring to school.
Rachel Gittleman (3rd) - helped children in Writer's Workshop by sharing her completed work.
Ethan Katz (3rd) - Ethan sat with a friend at lunch who was sitting alone.
Maya Friedberg (2nd) - helping a friend find a shirt in the uniform closet.
Anna Greenberg (3rd) - giving her friends Tzedakah money if they forgot to bring so the class could get 100%way to go Anna.
Talia Schwartz (1st) - picking up her friends crayons without being asked.

Thanks for the wonderful participation this past week. 100% Tzedakah was collected by all classes grades K-5!
Thanks to Morgan Brandt and Meira Silverman for coordinating this weeks' project. We continue to collect coins every week and we are very excited to see such an overwhelming participation. The students will decide be the end of the semester where these monies should go to.
