Storm Water Tip
of the Month
Provided by the City of Buellton
Storm Water Tip of the Month
Do not hose down hard surfaces such as driveways and sidewalks. Sweeping up residual sediment, leaves and landscaping waste and place within green waste bins to prevent them from being in contact with rain or irrigation water where it can be carried away to the river or into a nearby creek.
Water Conservation
For areas around trees and shrubs, be sure to have 3-4 inches of mulch in place to reduce evaporation and build healthy soil. Mulch is readily available throughout the County and available for free pickup or affordable delivery.

Greetings!
The Buellton Chamber of Commerce has partnered with County wide Chambers to form the Economic Vitality Team (EVT). It is our goal and mission to bring our county together and work cohesively with our economic development. Our neighbors to the north and south counties have a unified voice and we feel it is time for Santa Barbara to come together for the common good as well.
We meet regularly and have sub committees as well. Some of our discussions involve topics such as: Broadband, work-force housing, business recruitment/attraction, site selection to name a few. It allows us to come together and fill a void in the County and tri-county regions to improve our economic efforts.
We will be hosting our first annual meeting on September 16th at the SYV Marriott. More details will follow, but please feel free to mark your calendars if you would like to attend.
It is through these collaborations that we are able to strengthen our communities and move forward together. |
