Winterfest photos
Many Thanks to those who came out for the Buellton Winter Fest Activities
The day started with a Breakfast with Santa where we served over 300 people. The kids enjoy taking a photo with Santa, making crafts, and eating some yummy breakfast with their families. In the afternoon and evening, a large crowd gathered to listen to live music, stroll through the vendor area, indulge in the variety of food booths, sip on local beer and wine and let's not forget the SNOW! The evening wrapped up with a light parade circling the Avenue and making it's way through the adjacent neighborhoods and ending up back on the Avenue to light our City's Christmas Tree. It is always so much fun to see the smiles on the children and adults faces and we are so glad to be a part of this annual celebration.

Are you prepared for El Nino?
We have seen what a little bit of rain can do and this may only be the beginning. Be prepared when the next storm blows in.
- Inspect and clear your gutters and drainage swales
- Check your trees
- Fix you leaks before it rains
- Prepare for floods
Fire Station 31 in Buellton (located behind the Post Office) has sandbags for free.
Stay alert when driving and allow yourself enough time. With wet conditions and temperatures dipping into the 30's, black ice may form on the road and cause slick conditions.
Be Safe out there!

Greetings!
Happy New Year! We at the Chamber hope this finds you well and off to a great start in the New Year.
We are excited about what 2016 has in store and look forward to the direction we are going. As we are all aware, Buellton is in a transitioning period and many great changes and additions are happening as we speak. We saw the opening of Starbucks prior to the Holidays and know we'll be experiencing more openings as the year goes on.
Sometimes change can be scary, but it can also be good. We are growing and becoming known to so many as a town with great vibe, great potential, and great vision. We look forward to continuing our marketing efforts for the City and putting us in the best light when shown the opportunity.
We continue to highlight our members and share our hidden gems with visitors we see from all over the world. We encourage you to embrace the changes being made and seek the positive in what is yet to come. When people want to visit a place we call home, that is a good thing knowing we must live in a pretty awesome place.
Never take for granted our climate, the beauty, our neighbors, customers, and friends because we are truly fortunate to be where we are and surrounded by a supportive community.
We wish you all the best in the New Year and want nothing but the best for you and your business. Please feel free to come by our office or give us a call if there's anything we can do for you.
Also, please SHARE any updates, happenings, promotions, etc with us so we can continue to share with our network. We are here for you, but need you to tell us what you're up to as well.

Buellton Wine & Chili Fest
March 12, 2016
Noon-4pm at Flying Flags RV Resort

Join us for a day of food, wine, live music, beer, and great fun! This year we have made the Chili Fest a sanctioned event with the International Chili Society (ICS). The ICS is the official organization that sanctions chili cookoffs. These events are worldwide and benefit charities or nonprofit organizations. All winners of ICS sanctioned cookoffs qualify to compete for cash prizes and awards at the World's Championship Chili Cookoff. We are excited to bring this event to another level.
Not to worry: If you have participated in our past events, you are still welcome to participate. You may join the ICS and become sanctioned or come as a participant as you have in the past and be judged in the People's Choice category. Either way we would love to have you come.
In addition to wine, we will also have beer, food trucks, live music, games, vendors and more.
As with our other events, we are always looking for volunteers and we will be looking for judges as well.
Thank you in advance for your support, we look forward to seeing you at this great event!

Mixer Fees to apply in the New Year for
Non-Members
We are extremely grateful to our Mixer hosts who go above and beyond in welcoming us into their businesses time and again. We understand the costs involved in hosting a mixer, (which in many cases, is in the thousands of dollars).
Mixers are a way for our members to showcase their business and offer other members a place to network and meet fellow members. With this in mind, we feel it is our duty to continue to provide value for your membership.
We have always welcomed newcomers to our mixers to meet our members and see if our Chamber is the right fit for their business. We will continue to welcome new businesses and offer their first visit for free.
Going forward in the new year, we will be implementing a fee of $10 for Non-Members at our mixers (this will include 10 raffle tickets). All Buellton Chamber Members will continue to be FREE of charge. We are truly grateful for all of our members and people in the community who support our Chamber mixers and hope you understand the Chamber relies on member dues, mixer income and events to operate. We have put great thought and consideration into how we can continue to provide value to our members and hosts.
We thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Chorizo Chihuahua/Dachshund Female(spayed) 1yr.
Chorizo has been with us for 6 months. She often gets overlooked because she's quite shy and picky about who she befriends. Come and meet this precious girl-- Perhaps she'll choose you for her forever family. Chorizo is microchipped and weighs 9lbs.
