Greetings!

Happy New Year!  We are off to a busy start and there's no turning back.  2015 is going to be great for Buellton as we welcome the many projects taking place around town and those in the works.

We will be on the road the next couple of months going to trade shows and conferences spreading the good word about our City.  Numbers are up for travel and we take pride in the opportunity to share our community with the world.  Along with traveling, we will be working on our upcoming events and programs as we make our way into Spring.  There's never a dull moment around here, but busy is good.  We hope you are off to a busy start as well and wish you a prosperous New Year!

January 20th Mixer
Mother Hubbard's
Re-Gifting / Potluck Mixer
5-7pm

Join us at Mother Hubbard's Restaurant for our Annual Re-Gifting Mixer.  Jon and Doniece close the restaurant for our event and welcome us for an evening of fun. Please note that this mixer is on a TUESDAY
You are asked to bring a gift for the raffle and a passing dish or dessert.  The re-gifting raffle is the fun part.  We never know what kind of gifts are going to show up, but the crazier the better.  Sometimes we receive that gift where we might ask ourselves, "What were they thinking?" or "What am I going to do with this?".  This is a good time to re-gift whatever it might be and bring it to the Mixer.

We would like to thank and recognize our outgoing Board Members as well.  Dan Baumann, Flying Flags RV Resort and Megan DeCicco, Chumash Casino Resort brought so much to our Board with their knowledge of business, marketing, and organizational skills.  They will be truly missed, but I know we will definitely continue to see them involved in our community, chamber, and events.  Best wishes to both of them as they move onto new adventures.

Vincent B. Evans winner

Pam Gnekow

The Chamber recently awarded Pam Gnekow with the Vincent B. Evans award for her outstanding commitment to our community.  Pam has touched so many lives and been involved in so much of what takes place in Buellton.  She oversees the Buellton Senior Center making sure to take care of our seniors and their needs.  She began Country Garden Catering to raise much needed funds to continue the operations of the Meals on Wheels program.  The Buellton Thrift Store is also part of the Senior Center operations raising funds to feed and care for our seniors in our community.  Pam gives so much of herself and has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make Buellton a better place.  She is very deserving of this award and we are so honored to have her in our community.
Congratulations and thank you Pam.

Buellton Beautificaton Award goes to
Flying Flags RV Resort

We also recognize a business each year who has shown significant improvements with their property and made our community a little more beautiful.  Flying Flags RV Resort was this year's recipient for their extensive renovation of their main entrance, lobby, lounge, bbq area, restrooms, and pool area.  We are so proud to have this wonderful resort right here in Buellton and can't say enough about the level of quality and excellent service they provide to our visitors.  Their renovation continues this year and will make Flying Flags the best RV Resort in the County if not the Central Coast.  Congratulations!
