The Buellton Chamber recently honored an individual with the Vincent B. Evans Award at our annual Holiday Installation Luncheon.  Jim Vreeland Sr. "Mr. Nobody" was named posthumously, the recipient of the Vincent B. Evans Award.  Jim was active in the creation of Buellton's Cityhood and put Buellton on the map as, "The Home of Mr. Nobody".  His quirky commercials remain in the heads of the viewers and his support for the community was endless.  His sons, Jim Jr. and Dan along with their mother, Pam Vreeland were present to receive the award in his honor.
Tish Beltranena leaves the Board after 20 years of service.

The Buellton Chamber recognized Tish Beltranena for her time and dedication she gave the Chamber the past 20 years.  Through the years, Tish acted as President, Past-President, and Board Member.  Through her creativity, brilliant mind, contributions and donations, Tish was the epitome of an excellent Board Member.  She helped build and make the Chamber what it is today and we are very grateful to have had her be a part of our organization.  We wish her all the best as she takes on the new roll of Grandma and enters into a new chapter in her life.  We will miss her on our Board, but know she is still here in Buellton and hope she continues to join us for our events and celebrations.  Thank you Tish for 20 wonderful years!

The Buellton Chamber of Commerce recognized Kerry Moriarty for the enhancements he has made to the North end of the Avenue of Flags, specifically for the old "Gracian" building.  Kerry has gone to great extent to update and rejuvenate the historic building.  He replaced the roof, but reinstalled the old metal roof that existed over the refurbished roof.  He has cleaned up the exterior of the building as well as replaced windows, replaced beams, and is going to take it a step further with a new coat of paint.  Kerry has managed to secure some great tenants, such as Santa Ynez Saddlery, Monighetti's, and most recently; Trek Bike tour company.  We are honored to recognize Kerry for his work and look forward to his continued visions and renovations on the Avenue.  Congratulations Kerry!

Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society Pet of the Month

DSH, gray tabby, 3yrs, spayed female, 10 lbs

Teresa and all her kittens came to the Humane Society from the stray facility where the staff spoke highly of her. She has indeed lived up to all the hype. Her kittens found homes quickly and now Teresa is waiting her turn. Despite her dislike for so many feline housemates, she is a total pushover when it comes to human friends. She is loving, affectionate and a great addition to any relaxation program. Come sit with her in a room and feel the love today.
