Remember to mark your calendars for every Monday as we meet for Contacts N Coffee at Avant Tapas & Wine. Our meetings go from 8am-9:30am and offer you a chance to network, share your business with others, and meet other business members in the community. Great referrals come from within this group and you are welcome to join us any Monday. First visit is FREE. Remember this is not a tax on our citizens of Buellton unless you are staying the night in a Buellton Hotel. Measure D is proposing an increase to our Transient Occupancy Tax from 10% to 12%. The same increase is being proposed in Solvang and surrounding communities. Please read up on the propositions and make an educated vote this election. Our kids, community, seniors, businesses, state and country are counting on you. |

On a recent visit to the Ronald Reagan Library, I was intrigued by a phrase used by the President. "It CAN be done" Four simple words, but together they deliver a very strong message. At the Buellton Chamber of Commerce, we feel we can do anything when we set our minds to it. I can't say enough about our Board of Directors and the time and energy they have put into this organization. They truly care about our future and the future of Buellton and have accomplished great things over the past year and we're not done yet. We are actively working on more great ideas and events so stay tuned and join us on our mission. "It CAN be done" |

Classic Party Rentals

(Please note this is the Second Wednesday of the Month due to the Thanksgiving Holiday)
Richard Good and his staff have invited us to join them at Classic Party Rentals for a fun Fall Mixer. Just in time for the Holidays, come check out what Classic Party has to offer when it comes to throwing a party. Do you have a crowd coming for the holidays? If so, think of Classic Party Rentals for those items you may need to accommodate your guests. Glasses, chairs, serving pieces, linens, they have it all. Classic will be having a Pie Contest. Bring a Pie to be judged at the Mixer. It can be any kind of pie. All participants will receive a 10% discount on any rentals for the holidays. Judging will take place around 5:45pm and two categories will be awarded. Winner of Best Appearance will receive a $50.00 Gift Certificate to Classic Party Rentals and the Winner for the Overall Best Tasting Pie will receive a $100.00 Gift Certificate. So, get in your kitchen and start baking up a delicious pie. Of course we'll all be able to have a taste too. Have Fun and Happy Baking!

Our Mixers offer a great opportunity for networking and meeting fellow Chamber members and friends. We've had many success stories of contacts being made and new business transactions taking place as a result of our Mixers. All American Trailers North
Hi! Aaron Schwarzwalter here...Proud to be the Buellton Chamber of Commerce Featured Person of the Month. Thank you one and all!
All American Trailers North on the 101 in Buellton is a long way from Streeter, North Dakota where my German grandparents settled in the 1870's. The population is still 100. I grew up on what was left of the old prairie in farming and cattle country riding the relatives work horses, with Dad running the grain elevator in town. After college I bought my own horse and then got hooked on "cutting". I started in the Horse Trailer Business in Fergus Falls, Minnesota around 1960 or so, then around 1980 came to Sacramento, California to join Miley Trailers as Sales Manager. On a trip south down the 101 scouting areas for new dealerships I discovered Buellton and decided to open up my own store...that was Santa Ynez Valley Trailers in 1984. Sold out in 2000, couldn't stand retirement so reopened as All American Trailers North on Avenue of Flags. Needing more room for expansion we moved back to the original 101 lot in January, 2010 where we sell and service horse, utility and cargo trailers. We're kind of a family business. Our Mechanics, brothers Fernando and Miguel have been with me since 1984. My daughter, Jane runs the Parts Department when she's not riding with the Sage Hens, Fillies & Saddle Skirts. Van Bivans runs the office and everything else whenever I'm not around.
I had to give up Ice Fishing when we moved out to California, so now I make time for a few Cutting Horse Shows, Santa Barbara Trail Riders, Rancheros Visitadores, Elks, Vikings, and Church with my Chorale Singing Wife of 56 years, Ann.

The Buellton Chamber, Buellton Rec. Center, Buellton Historical Society, and Buellton Senior Center are putting together a great Celebration to ring in the Holidays! Join us for a day full of activities. If you would like to participate or volunteer, please give us a call. 688-7829.
Sunday, December 2nd
9am-Noon: Breakfast with Santa at the Buellton Rec. Center. Kids are welcome to join us as we host a breakfast with their favorite person, Santa. Along with a fabulous breakfast prepared by the Senior Center, we'll have a photo op and arts and crafts. Fun for the entire family. Tickets are: $12.00 (11 & up ), 10 and under Free.
4-6pm: Holiday Concert at the Buellton Rec. Center. Come enjoy the live music from our local student performers.
6-7pm: Take part in our light parade and village carolers as we make our way through the town and onto the Avenue for the Tree lighting. You're welcome to join us or create your own entry with lights.
4-8pm: Holiday Village on the Avenue of Flags. Come out and enjoy wine/beer/food/music/ and vendors as we light the tree. We're trying some new ideas this year and hope you will join us for all the fun! As always, we welcome volunteers to lend a hand and invite you to share this with your friends, family, and neighbors so they may join us as well.

Help us Decorate the Buellton Tree for the Holidays.
Join us in decorating the Tree for Buellton. We're gathering ornaments to adorn our tree and you're invited to help. If you would like to donate an ornament for our Tree on the Avenue, please drop it by our Chamber office or the Buellton Rec. Center. We'll be taking ornaments through the month of November. Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society Pet of the Month
Thought Chihuahua Black/Tan 1 yr. F(S)
Thought is a happy, bouncy Chihuahua with a propensity to circle. She enjoys cuddling, sleeping under a blanket and playing with her food. Rather than eat her kibble, she prefers to toss it in the air, chase it under furniture and bark at it while offering a play bow. Watching her eat is far more entertaining than any reality show! This quirky little dog is quite leggy, but weighs in at only 5.5 lbs. What makes her special is a medical condition that limits her longevity and makes each day precious. She is looking for a special person with whom she can share her life. If you have a place in your heart and home for a special needs dog, come meet Thought today. Thought is microchipped.

Thank You to the Rabobank for Hosting our October Mixer
A BIG Thank You to Sonia Jimenez and her entire staff at Rabobank for opening up their office to us and treating us to another great Mixer. Rabobank always goes above and beyond and this time was no different. Members of the Chamber and community were treated to live jazz music by Bubba Ramey, food by Testa Catering, and of course wine and beer. A special contest took place where guests were welcome to guess the weight of a very large pumpkin that sat in their lobby. The Chamber also had a contest to guess the amount of Tootsie Rolls in the jar. Great food, friends, and always fun to be had at our mixers. As we approach the Holidays, think of Rabobank for your accounts and savings needs. As you are aware, our chamber depends on memberships, fundraisers, and mixer raffles to support our day to day operations. - 805 Taxi is offering a 20% discount on wine tours, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. In addition to Wine Tours, they also offer local and long distance shuttle service for airports, weddings, and special events.
- Congratulations to Firestone Walker Brewing Company for winning the Gold Medal, 2 consecutive years, at the great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO. for their Double Barrel Ale(DBA) in the Ordinary or Special Bitter category. They also took home the gold medal for a new release, "Wookey Jack" in the 'American-Style Black Ale category and a bronze with their "Double Jack" in the Imperial India Pale Ale category.
- Congratulations to Lana Clark, Principal with Buynak, Fauver, Archbald, Spray (BFAS) for her recent certification in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. Lana is the only Certified Specialist in Santa Ynez, Lompoc, and Santa Maria.
- Buellton recently welcomed 101 Auto Shop and U-Haul Rental Center. Owners Alex Uribe and Cesar Jimenez Uribe offer a variety of auto repair services and U-Haul Rentals of trucks and trailers. They are located at 653 Avenue of Flags.
- All Sports Fitness Center is now offering Gymnastics for kids. Sign ups are taking place now and the first session begins on November 5-15th.
