Farewell to Jenny!
A gathering was held at WWf(a)C on June 30 to wish our dear friend, Jenny Stanton, a fond farewell before her move to Pennsylvania. Friends shared a meal and a writing circle which included prompts such as: "How would you describe your phase of life?" and "How does Jenny's move, her choices, any other woman's choices affect yours?"
Jenny is a long-time writer in our community and also served as a valued leader on the WWf(a)C Podcast Edition. Here, she guided podcast volunteers with wisdom and grace as they learned their roles as hosts for the show. She treated hosts, interviewees and all with whom she shared a writing circle, as family.
Best of luck to you, Jenny!
We will miss your kind presence and of course, your words!

Woman in Comedy
by Eileen Tull
Eileen Tull will once again be taking the stage for the popular upcoming event "Evening of Female Comics." She has also participated in a recent VDay event at WWf(a)C by delivering a well-received spoken word performance. In the attached essay, Eileen reflects on her roles as a comic and performer as well as explores how feminism is taking center stage in her own life through these experiences.

Who's Who
at Women Writing for (a) Change
Spotlight on: Avery Smith and Meg Stentz | Avery and Meg |
This summer we welcomed back two of our Young Women's facilitators to lead the summer camps for girls and teens. Both Avery Smith and Meg Stentz began their time at YWWf(a)C as students in the girls' classes. In 2007, they attended the YWWf(a)C Feminist Leadership Academy where they developed skills to facilitate those same classes. In 2013, Avery and Meg successfully co-facilitated the YWFLA program for six courageous young women leaders. Learn More |
