NEW PROGRAM !

WWf(a)C Book Club

Join us on the last Sunday of each month for a FREE Book Club discussion!

The WWf(a)C Book Club will follow the processes used at Women Writing for(a) Change, to offer an intentional circle using both writing and conversation to broaden and deepen our understanding of each book. Please bring paper and pen! We will explore the obvious and not-so-obvious places where we discover, or in some cases the characters themselves discover, the conscious-feminine. We will also discuss plot, structure, voice and narrative, and which of these enabled us on our journey with these characters and story.

Our first Book Club circle meets on Sunday, January 27, 3-5pm,
when we'll be discussing
Everything Beautiful Began After
by Simon Van Booey.

FRIDAY SALON

February 1, 2013
6:30 pm  - Potluck!
7:00 pm -Discussion begins

Womens Way of Ohio-Kentucky presents another Friday Night Salon.

Our guest speaker will discuss sexual abuse, how she has   suffered, and how she overcame it. We realize this is a difficult topic and not one that is suited to everyone but it is an important issue in today's world.

**If you haven't visited a Friday Night Salon these are end of the week events on the first and third Friday of the month. The salons are held to discuss and find community at this wonderful space. We do ask for donations to help us continue with these insightful evenings. Suggested donation is $5.

The salons are held at the Women Writing for a Change building at 6906 Plainfield Road in Silverton.

"We want to give a special thank you to Women Writing for a Change for allowing us to continue having these salons in a combined effort to build a healthy thoughtful community."

FEATURED WRITING

"To date, coffee has been shared, movies taken in, words have been written together, words have been spoken aloud at open mics. A connection in gardening is still in the works, as is working with children's authors, and attending senior capstone projects. We have, in a sense, created our own community through hospitality and inclusion, cornerstone practices of both Starfire and Women Writing."

~Annette Wick, from "A Wiser Circle
"

For several years, Women Writing for a Change has partnered with Starfire U to hold a writing circle for their members who express an interest and passion for the written word.

Read facilitator Annette Januzzi Wick's reflection on the circle she has held with Starfire and other community women, and the wisdom gained from this experience on her blog:
