Seeking Outstanding Parent Volunteer Nominations
Submissions due Friday, Nov. 6th
Do you know of a parent volunteer who goes above and beyond? Please consider nominating them to be recognized at our first Character Assembly in front of their child(ren). This is a great way to show your appreciation for our wonderful volunteers and for their children to be proud of their parents/guardians.
Research shows that students with involved parents are more likely to:
- Earn higher grades and test scores
- Be promoted and pass their classes
- Attend school regularly
- Have better social skills
- Show improved behavior
- Graduate & attend post-secondary education
So not only do we want to show our appreciation, but we want the children to know that parents are involved with their education. Since many of our volunteers do "behind the scene" tasks, their child may not even know about them!
If you have someone in mind, please submit the parent's name, with a short paragraph describing what the nominee does to make them an outstanding as a volunteer.
Please email your submissions to faye.yost@cobbk12.org by Nov. 6, 2015 so that we can be prepared for the Assemblies to be held on Nov. 16, 17, and 18th. |
