A Letter from NESF President, Beth Park
|
Welcome back, Parents!
The NES Foundation is at the start of our 6th year! The mission of NESF has always been the same:
To use parent and community donations to support our school's commitment to technology, academic excellence and student success.
Evidence of your support is all over the school - ELMO document cameras, digital microscopes, our cafeteria sound system, iPad minis and technology updates, etc. - all paid for by NESF funds. Your donations raised over $58,000 last year! Every penny was spent to benefit our students!
The BACK the JACK fundraising campaign is going strong now through October 2 and I encourage all of you to participate by making a tax-deductible donation. Information has been sent home about BACK the JACK and more NESF news will be out in the coming weeks. The Foundation will have a table at both Curriculum Nights on 9/1 and 9/3. Please stop by to ask any questions you may have, buy a t-shirt, or to make your donation to BACK the JACK. In the meantime, if you have any questions or want to help out, please contact me or visit nesfoundation.com
Looking forward to a great school year!
Beth Park

BACK the JACK Campaign Begins With A Boom
|
The excitement level is high thanks to our friends at Campbell!
The Campbell High School Marching Band and Cheerleaders kicked the campaign off in style with scream inducing performances at a pep rally held on August 21. The kids were so excited to dance to music and cheer with the cheerleaders in support of Nickajack.
We hope their overwhelming excitement spread to you because we need your help. We're asking each family to make one annual tax deductible donation on behalf of their child/children. Our goal this year is $65,000 and every little bit helps.
The funds raised this year will buy iPads, carts, cases and software, fund a second computer lab and enhancements to the Media Center, fund teacher grants and other instructional programs across ALL grade levels.
Every student with a donation in his/her name will have their total added to their class' total and the classroom that raises the most money will receive a pizza/snow cone party! The race is on and as of this week, Ms. Wood and Ms. Triplett's classes are tied for the lead with Ms. Tucker's class close behind in second place!
- In person at Nickajack. The Foundation will be at the school to accept your donations (cash, check, or credit card) on the following days:
