Reflections Creativity Contest Deadline
Entries Due Monday, October 20th by 8am
Do you have a creative or talented student in Music, Visual Art, Dance, Film, Literature, or Photography? The PTA Reflections Arts Recognition Program is a national arts recognition and achievement program for students.
Entries must be the work of one student, show a connection to the theme, and include an entry form, title and artist statement for each entry from the categories above. Information was sent home, and is also on the PTA website, click here for full details and entry form. Entry forms are also located across from the Front Office. The deadline has been extended, please submit student entries to the Front Office by Monday, October 20th, by 8am.

Parent-Teacher Conference Week
During Conference Week next week, there will be no after school clubs or enrichment programs, and ASP will begin at the conclusion of dismissal, at 12:30pm.
Please make every effort to be punctual for your scheduled conference times, or to contact the teacher to reschedule.

The Nickajack Dash is a 1.5 mile Fun Run for your family, friends, and neighbors to help raise money for the NES PTA. The run starts and ends at Nickajack, and runs along the Silver Comet Trail. The Silent Auction will start at the conclusion of the Dash, where parents can browse while the kids enjoy the bounce house and face painting!
Now over 100 items for the Silent Auction, worth over $20,000!

Forum: Post 2 CCSD Candidates
Thursday, October 16th, 6:30-7:30PM
King Springs Elementary School Council and Griffin Middle School PTSA are hosting a forum for Post 2 Cobb County school board candidates. Please take the opportunity to hear from Kenya Pierre and Susan Thayer. The election will be held on November 2nd.
The forum will be on Thursday, October 16th, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm at Griffin Middle School Auditorium, 4010 Kings Springs Road, Smyrna, GA 30082.
King Springs School Council and Griffin School PTSA are nonpartisan and do not support or oppose any candidate or political party.

Middle School Night at CHS Football
Friday, October 17th
Campbell High School would like to invite NES families to their football game on Friday, October 17th. This is Middle School Night and 8th graders will partcipate with the CHS band in the stands. Campbell will play Newnan High School at 7:30 PM.
Go early and eat as they will have tables and tents set up to tailgate prior to the game. All tickets are $7 at the gate or presale tickets can be purchased at CHS on Friday, October 17th from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM in the cafeteria at a reduced rate of $5 for students and $6 for adults.
