Seeking New Parent Members for the School Council
Nomination Deadline-Friday, September 26th

The Nickajack School Council is actively seeking new parent members.  A school council functions as an advisory body, offering recommendations and assistance to the school principal and whenever appropriate, the superintendent and Cobb County Board of Education on any matter relating to student achievement and school improvement.

We are entertaining nominations for 2 parents.  If you are interested, nomination forms are in the school office and are also available here.  The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, September 26th. Prior to nominating a candidate, it's a good idea to touch base with the prospective nominee to ensure that he or she desires to run for the position. The person nominated will need to submit a biography along with a picture to the office staff for posting by Friday, October 3rd.

The nominations will be posted along with bios and pictures of the candidates so that parents will be knowledgeable about the nominees prior to voting. Voting will take place Monday, October 20th through Friday, October 24th during normal school hours.  Ballots will be available in the front office and all ballots will be placed in a locked ballot box.

Last Week to Back the Jack!
Support your school!

Parent Donations fund Programs!

Cobb County taxes do not fund many of the programs that make our school exceptional including our computer room instructor and technology updates, equipment for science lab and key curriculum programs.

Check if your company matches!

Many companies match donations at 1:1 or 2:1 ratios.  Click HERE for a list of companies that we know match including Coca-Cola, The Home Depot, ING and more!

Show your children the value of supporting their education!
Every child that has a donation made in his/her name will get an apple placed on their classroom door. The class with the most participation will receive a pizza/snowcone party! Currently, Ms. Butler (K) is in the lead, followed by Wood (2) and Maples (5)
