F.B.I. Reading Day: Volunteers needed
Friday, September 5th from 7:50 am to 8:15 am

Dad's Read
Nickajack "Fathers Being Involved" is a group of dads and other male role models that take time to volunteer at the school to support the learning environment for all students.  On FBI Reading Day we place a father in every classroom in the school to read a book to students from 7:50 am - 8:15 am.  We still need many volunteers for our first FBI Reading Day this Friday, September 5th.

If you would like to volunteer to read to a classroom or receive more information about being involved with the Nickajack FBI, please contact Kendall Foster at kendall.foster@cobbk12.org or at the school by phone (678) 842-5814.  Additional details can also be found on the PTA website by clicking here.

Thank you and we are looking forward to seeing our dad's in full force on Friday, September 5th

here to sign up for slots anytime between 7:30 am - 2:30 pm.

Wear your favorite NFL gear, or your Nickajack shirt, as you assist at one of various stations that the students will rotate through during their Specials time slot. Contact Eric Homansky with questions.
Summer Reading Update: 2 days left!
Please log all minutes by 3pm, Friday Sept 5th

The deadline to log minutes for the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge is by 3pm on Friday, September 5th.

Our NES students have read and logged over 109,000 minutes as of September 3rd, surpassing our goal of 100,000 minutes!

Top readers from each grade will receive a gift certificate to the fall book fair, click here for details on how to submit your student's total minutes after September 5th. Keep your kids reading at least 20 minutes every day!

BACK THE JACK Today!

The goal is Participation!

EVERY DONATION HELPS - whether you can give $10 or $1,000.

Without parent and community donations to the Nickajack Foundation (NESF), our school would not have some of the programs that make it exceptional, like our computer lab and instructor, key curriculum and teacher grants.

This year, the goal is to raise $70,000 for NESF!

The class with the most participation gets a pizza/snowcone party.  Current class standings are:

1. Butler

2. Three-way tie: Wood, Cochran, Maples
