Tonight, Tuesday, May 20th , 5 - 8 pm
All books that were not picked up last week were given to teachers to hand out with instructions for them to be safely kept in their bags and not taken out during ASP or on the bus.
We still have about 20 extra books for sale in the lobby on Tuesday, May 20 from 7:30-8:30am, and at the Chick-Fil-A PTA Pal Yearbook Signing Party. Books will be on sale from 5:30-6:30pm. The cost is $35 and we are collecting cash only, on a first come first serve basis. |
From your PTA Literacy Committee:
Thank you to all NES families for supporting the Book Fair last week! Also, a great, big Thank You to all of the wonderful volunteers that helped make the fair a great success! Proceeds from the Book Fairs are used to purchase literacy resources for the classrooms and for the Media Center.
The Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge has started! As of May 16th, NES students have logged over 6,000 reading minutes, chipping away at our goal of 100,000! Just last week Georgia announced the Summer Reading Initiative, click here for more information, and encourage your students to read all summer! All NES students have been enrolled, please email Kim.Trumble1@gmail.com for a log-in or other details.
A gift for every student!
The PTA Literacy Committee is proud to, once more, provide every Nickajack student with one free book to help promote reading! Teachers will be distributing these books the week of May 19th.
