Field Day Volunteers Needed Please
May 8th and May 9th
sack race
Please consider signing up to help Mr. Homansky and his team with this exciting day!

If you are unable to volunteer on field day we are in need of freeze and eat popsicles, 3-4 ounce Dixie cups, and bags of ice.  These items can be brought in prior to field day and given to Mr. Homansky.  We have freezer space at school so the popsicles do not have to come in frozen, we would just need them ahead of time.  Thanks so much for your support.

KC Club Community Service Project
Now through May 16th
Heart in hand

Nickajack's Kindness and Compassion Club will be sponsoring a collection drive to support the Atlanta Pet Rescue and Adoption (APRA) shelter.  KC Club students are requesting your support to help make this project a success!  Please consider donating an item or two from APRA's wish list.  The wish list is posted in several places around the school building and can also be found at the following link:  https://www.atlantapetrescue.org/donate/giving-list/.  Please drop off all item donations in the collection bin in the front lobby.

Our KC Club students are very passionate about this cause.  KC Club K-2nd grade students have made "happy socks" for the cats at the shelter.  They stuffed socks with poly-fil and catnip to create fun toys for the kittens and cats awaiting new homes.  KC Club 3rd - 5th grade students also made cuddly fleece blankets for the cats and small dogs at APRA.  Thank you in advance for your donations to support this wonderful agency in our community!

Each homeroom teacher will be providing their students with their own log-in and password to the website so that they can log their minutes. More information on the Summer Challenge can be found in the Scholastic BOGO Book Fair Flyer that goes home in folders on Tuesday, May 6th or go to www.scholastic.com/summer .
