Come out this week for delicious frozen yogurt...with fall flavors, like pumpkin spice, you will surely find something to delight your taste buds.  Sub Zero will donate a portion of sales this week to the PTA.  

 

Sub Zero is located in the Publix Shopping Plaza (Highland Station) off the East Connector and S. Cobb Drive.

1st Nine Weeks  Top AR Students
Congratulations!


Your PTA and our PTA Pal, The Bookstop, are pleased to recognize the students for the 1st nine weeks with the most AR points!  These students will receive a gift certificate from The Bookstop for a free book.

Kindergarten:  Yasmin Meyer with 6.6 points

1st grade:  Anna Figaretti with 19.6 points

2nd grade:  Rachel Levine with 46.1 points

3rd grade:  Jonathan Fairgrieves with 90.3 points

We'd like to invite parents who are new to Nickajack and those who are looking to get more connected to join us for breakfast on Monday, November 11th at 8am in the cafeteria. Chick-fil-a breakfast will be provided.  This is a great opportunity to meet other parents and find out more about how to get involved in our wonderful school!   

 

Please sign up for a slot if you plan to attend so we have a head count for food!

PTA Book Fair Volunteers Needed
Nov. 11th - Nov. 15th
 

Our opening day is now Monday, November 11th, but you can click here to preview and shop on line now!  Books purchased on line will be delivered to your student, at school, the first week of December.

  

Volunteers are needed to make this another great book fair! Help is needed with set up, cashiering, general assistance with students and shoppers, and break down. Volunteers will receive 10% off purchases.

Math & Science Night
Thursday, Nov. 14th, 5:30 - 7:30 pm
Science

 

Will take place in various classrooms Students will rotate through Science related experiments. 

 

As students are doing so, parents are invited to join one of the 2 short sessions reviewing current/upcoming math curriculum and strategies.   

Two sessions for parents:

Session 1: 6-6:30 and Session 2: 7-7:30. Both sessions will be the same. 

Relay for Life Holiday Marketplace
Thursday, Nov. 14th, 4 - 7pm

 

Various vendors will be present in the Nickajack Cafeteria for you to shop from.   Secret Santa store for students on the stage - all items are $3 and will be wrapped for free.  Students can buy for gifts for parents, family members and friends.
