PTA Pal Spotlight
Beyond a Classroom
Beyond A Classroom is an educational consulting service that creatively instructs students on how to become scholars through the teaching of "Study and Work Smarter, NOT Harder"®, the 6-week online course is for students in grades 5th-12th. It is owned and operated by veteran educator, Evonna Bruner who is also a former Cobb County gifted specialist.
"After a few years of teaching, I realized that my students were deficient in the same two areas I was in school.
In 2011, I piloted "Study and Work Smarter, NOT Harder!"® at the world renowned Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta. The response was overwhelming! Both students and parents expressed how the course changed the way they viewed academics and how much it was needed for academic success.
Now today, I enjoy relating to students and teaching them how to study and take notes to improve their academic performance and become scholars."
