The lighting ceremony begins at 10 p.m. on Friday, 5/17/13 when hundreds of lighted luminaria will demonstrate our remembrance of those who have battled cancer. Summer Reading Challenge

summer challenge

To help kick off the 2013 Scholastic Summer Challenge, the PTA Literacy Committee provided every Nickajack student with one free book!  Books were given to each homeroom teacher to distribute   and each book has a paper reading log sheet inside.

Check with your student's teacher for log-in information for the challenge or enroll directly on the website

As of May 16th, Nickajack students have logged over 11,000 minutes already!

Summer Challenge information can also be found on our PTA website and the Nickajack home page.

Thank you to all the volunteers that helped with our PTA Book Fair and AR Store over the past 2 weeks!  Also, thank you to the Nickajack families and staff for supporting our Book Fairs. Proceeds from the fairs are used to support literacy resources for our Nickajack classrooms, as well as reward and encourage our students to read!
