$7 CASH only! Orders are due Thursday, Feb. 21st for 4th grade field day t-shirts. Sorry, no late orders will be accepted.
Order forms were sent home in your child's Tuesday Folder.
Please place order form and cash in to a white school payment envelope and drop to a black box. If you do not have an order form, please include a note with your payment indicating the following:
- t-shirt size (YS, YM, YL, AS, AM, AL)
- quantity ____x $7 cash
- your child's name
- phone number
- your child's teacher.

A PTA can be no more effective than its leadership. The Nominating Committee is a special committee and holds the key to a successful PTA. Its responsibility is to present the best qualified nominees for office.

NES Chess Club
New Trophy for Nickajack!
About 20 students from the Nickajack Elementary Chess Club participated in one of the largest tournament's hosted in the state of Georgia, the Metro Atlanta K-8 Team State Qualifier Chess Tournament. This event was held at the Cobb Galleria all day Saturday, and over 1000 children participated in this tournament! The students that participated from Nickajack included:
The K-1 players (all of their first tournament) finished 14th out of 28 teams! The K-3 players finished 20th out of 54 teams and the K-5 players 28th out of 62 teams! All of the teams did very well representing Nickajack, especially by demonstrating fantastic sportsmanship! The K-3 group earned a trophy with their team score and all of the groups are still awaiting word if they qualified for the State tournament in mid-March.
Congratulations to all the children that participated and to ALL the Nickajack Chess Players, as your participation weekly helped these kids do so well!

 Students, reading logs are due back on Feb 25th. Please turn your forms into to your teacher with at least 6 hours of reading logged and you will get a ticket for one free admission to Six Flags!

Campbell Middle School Event

Hello all,
Campbell Middle School is hosting their annual Multicultural program. It is a night filled with dancing, singing and poetry showcasing the multicultural talents of our students and community members.
Their Multicultural show also ends with an International Recipe tasting.

Cost: $5.00 per adult and kids over 11

PTA Nickajack DASH ("Fun Run") - March 2nd
Still accepting registrations - $10 for race number only
We NEED Volunteers Please
The PTA Nickajack DASH is March 2nd at 9:00. Thanks to all who have signed up to run. T-shirts and numbers will be delivered to your oldest student on Thursday, February 28.
If you did not pre-register, you can still receive a race number on the morning of the DASH for $10.
This year, the race beings in the back of the school in the carpool line. Park in the bus lanes or in front of the school and come on back for the start of the race at 9:00! Winners from each grade level will be announced at 10:00. Door prizes will also be given out at this time. So come celebrate all morning with your NES friends! There will be free food and jumpies for all!
We need DASH volunteers. If you're coming to the DASH, please help us make this the most successful Dash ever and sign up for a volunteer spot on the link below. We need a team of willing people to serve in various roles (food prep, auction supervision, jumpie supervision, race course monitors, and more!) You can still run the DASH and find a time to serve! Thank you in advance!
