The PTA Book Fair
A Great Success!
Our fall Scholastic Book Fair was a great success, and we thank all the Nickajack families for supporting this event. Proceeds from our book fairs support our classroom resources, the media center and our Principal's Book of the Month program.
The PTA Board would like to thank our PTA Bookfair Chairs, Katy Weihe and Kim Trumble, for a fabulous job!
Thank you, also, to the wonderful volunteers that donated their time, we could not have done this without you!
Thank you to members of our FBI team for conducting our Book Talks!

PTA PAL Spotlight
The Music Studio at Vinings
$25.00 off Registration
For the month of December, we are offering to Nickajack families $25 off Registration (normally $50) when your purchase a Gift Certificate of two lessons. Please say"NICKAJAC K" when calling.
It's almost the Holidays! Does your little one want to learn piano? Or maybe Mom secretly wants to take voice lessons while Dad wants to "rock the house" with guitar or drums? Welcome to The Music Studio at Vinings where they can handle all your musical needs, with fun but professional teachers at a very competitive price!
In their attractive new studio, they offer music lessons in most all instruments seven days a week: piano, voice, guitar, violin, drums, brass strings and woodwinds. They are also offering great morning, afterschool and weekend classes like Mini Mozarts Infant to PreK Program, Etiquette workshops, Audition Mastery (a leg up for your budding school actors & actresses) and more. They even have a recording studio that is open to the students and the public, with very affordable pricing on different sized recording packages. What a great idea for presents - a recording of your child to give to grandparents and relatives or as a keepsake for yourself.
Another fun thing they offer is Open Mic nights for their students at the Rowe's St. Angelo's Pizza, about 3/4 of a mile down from the studio, on S. Atlanta Road. Any level and any instrument can perform, and many families come to enjoy the great food and drink and precious performances of all ages.
The Music Studio at Vinings, 4686 S. Atlanta Road, Smyrna 30080. 404-351-9722 For more information, visit their website at www.cr-themusicstudio.com.

Angel Tree
Help us Help Others - Wed. Nov. 28th - Fri. Dec 7th
Permission Forms, located on the back of your Smoke Signals, went home in today's Red Tuesday Folders.
It's time again for the annual "Angel Tree" at Nickajack. Each year students, staff and community members sponsor Families in Need during the Holiday Season.
Please assist us in helping these families in our school community by allowing your child(ren) to select an Angel(s) from the Angel Tree. Permission forms must be completed in order for students to participate. Look for your child's permission form to come home in their red Tuesday folder. Please complete Angel Tree Permission Form and return it to your child's teacher.
This year we will be collecting gift cards for our families in any denomination (please write the amount on the card):
Red Angel (Target or Wal-Mart gift card)
Pink Angel (Toy Store gift card)
Green Angel (Publix or Kroger gift card)
White Angel (Gas Station gift card)
Students will be allowed to come to the Angel Tree between 7:20 and 7:50 each morning from Wednesday, November 28th through Friday, December 7th. All gift cards must be returned to the main office by Monday, December 10th.
If you have any questions please contact Nicole Pfleger (School Counselor for grades K-2) or Andrea Mackey (School Counselor for grades 3-5) at 678-842-5814.
Thank you for your support and generosity!
