Outstanding Parent Volunteers Recognized!

We Thank YOU and Appreciate YOU!

 Heart in hand

Please join us in letting our wonderful parent volunteers know how much we appreciate all of their hard work!

Congratulations to our recipients for the 1st nine weeks!

Chuck Young

Chuck Young has worked tirelessly all summer and into this school year to make the playground improvement vision a reality. He employed his professional expertise to work with vendors and the county to get the job done on budget and in time for the start of school. He continues to monitor the progress and jumps in at a moments notice whether it's to send an email or set up a sprinkler or negotiate for a better fence price. He is a true example of involved parenting.

Lynne Scott

Lynne Scott has done an outstanding job with the Nickajack Foundation Fall Festival.  All of the families and friends who went to the festival yesterday really had a great time thanks to all of her hard work.  Additionally, she is always at Nickajack volunteering to help out in the office and the media center as well as being the room parent for Ms. Taylor.  In Ms. Taylor's class she has been generous with donations of supplies and with her time coming in to help during science experiments.  Mrs. Scott is a true asset to Nickajack!

Sam Spaulding

Sam Spaulding is always at Nickajack Elementary School. During the summer he was available for registration, putting the school back together, stuffing folders, moving equipment and helping out in the office during the first week of school.  Sam is a perfect male involvement role model.

Tricia Grantham

Tricia Grantham is a tremendous asset to this school.  She serves on many committees and is always able to lend a hand.  Tricia worked alongside Chuck Young on the Playground committee to help make the improvements a reality.  Also, she has done amazing things with the ASP program and the enrichment opportunities provided.  Thanks Tricia for all you do!

Katy Weihe

Katy Weihe has done extraordinary things at Nickajack with her involvement with the KC Club.  She attends and organizes every meeting, plans for crafts, arranges service projects for the community and much, much more. She really demonstrates 'Rachel's Challenge' every day by going out of her way for everyone she meets! She also lends an extra hand in her children's classrooms and is one of the PTA Book Fair Chairs .

Julie Davis

Julie Davis has been a tremendous asset to Ms. Cochran's class.  When Ms. Cochran needed copies made for her class, Ms. Davis volunteered to help only to find that all of the copiers at the school were broken that day.  Instead of giving up, she went to Kinkos and made not one, but three weeks of copies for the class.  This generosity of time and resources is greatly appreciated!

Tracey Byrde

Tracey Byrde's artistic abilities have earned her much recognition at Nickajack Elementary School!  This year is no exception.  Ms. Byrde went out of her way to design the best classroom door for Ms. Cochran's third grade class.  Also, her artistic abilities have found a new home on the Yearbook Committee!  When a new committee chair was needed, she stepped in and has hit a home run with the committee keeping things running on time and on budget.  We appreciate all you do!

Keep an eye our for the next OUTSTANDING parents.  If you would like to nominate someone please email nickajackpta@gmail.com.
