Another Way of Doing Life

2015 Winter Forum with Shane Claiborne

Sponsored by WI Conference of Churches

February 27-28, 2015 in the Wisconsin Dells

Christians are meant to be radical non-conformists, interrupting the patterns of our world with prophetic imagination-a holy counterculture. Join the Wisconsin Council of Churches and Winter Forum Presenter Shane Claiborne for a weekend of exploration around what it means to be both disciples and church in a culture that seems increasingly at odds with the heart of the gospel . . .

  Books offered . . .

I am in the process of closing down my small publishing company and in so doing I have some books that I am free to give away.  I have two of them (both small, stapled) that I believe could be helpful in the diocese.

1. Soothed by Blood: Shedding Light on Self-Mutilative Cutting;

2. The Challenging Years: Shedding Light on Teen Sexuality.

Both are written by Twila Pearson, PhD.  Twila received her doctorate from the University  of WI in Counseling Psychology.  She has worked in the mental health field for over 25 years.  She is also a woman of faith and incorporates God's perspective and His ability to heal in all her writing. I would be very happy to send them to individuals and parishes, free shipping to anyone interested.  I have over 1500 of Soothed and almost 500 of Challenging Years. My contact information is Terrie Knox   920-723-3454   or email:   [email protected]   Thanks so much.

Blessings,   Terrie Knox

Choral Evensong for Feast of All Saints & All Souls

St. Paul's Episcopal Church has made it an annual tradition: a Choral Evensong service for the feast of All Saints & All Souls

It's here that we remember our beloved deceased and pray for them. It's here that candles are lit, names shared, and prayers said. It's here that music wraps prayer and sentiment in beauty before sending it off to heaven.

And, here is in the intimate and beautiful surroundings of the Historic Chapel at Forest Home Cemetery (2405 Forest Home Avenue). The chapel is an architectural gem set in the heart of the cemetery. The public is invited to join the members of St. Paul's Church here!

Join your prayers with ours! Usher in the month of November, the month during which we remember, in a special way, all our departed dear ones. Sunday, November 2, at 4PM.Fr. C. Steven Teague, Rector of St. Paul's will preside and St. Paul's Choir will provide music from the ages.
