The Chamber Concert Series at St. Peter's Episcopal Church is proud to present its second concert of the 2014 series on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 4:00 pm.  The concert will be held at the church which is located at 302 Merchants Ave. in Fort Atkin
Con Vivo! camber music ensemble
son.
Performing will be Con Vivo!, a professional chamber music ensemble founded in 2002.  Con Vivo! is comprised of seven core musicians who draw upon professional experience with the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and other regional performing groups. They will be performing the Quintet for Clarinet and String Quartet, KV 581 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart which was first performed at a Composer's Society concert in December of 1789.  The piece is in the traditional four movements: an opening sonata movement, followed by an aria type Larghetto, then a minuet with two trios, and finally a theme and variation last movement. The quintet is considered one of the central compositions of chamber music and the clarinet repertoire. They will also be performing
Mozart's Divertimento in F Major which has an Italian grace and charm, suggesting that the ideas for this music came to Mozart-if they weren't in fact written down-while he was in Milan.

We welcome everyone who is interested in learning more about contemplative spirituality in the Christian tradition.  We meet monthly for contemplative prayer for twenty-five minutes, after which we discuss a reading from Julian of Norwich, a 14th Century English mystic who has been called "a theologian for our time."  These gatherings are supported by the Order of Julian of Norwich, a contemplative monastic order in the Episcopal Church.  We would love to have you join us.  If you have questions, call Susan Fiore, ObJN at (608) 845-2413 or e-mail at [email protected].
