Isabel has joined the bakery team and also does the occasional delivery for us.

Basil Tree had a summer outing with much fun, frolic and festivity.

Elise, our wonderful cafe lead, is leaving us for the wilds of Spain. We'll miss her greatly, but wish her all the best.

Leah, our beloved sales associate, baker and cafe supervisor is leaving us for the wilds of Oregon. She will also be missed and wished the best.

Basil Tree is releasing our new menu and you won't believe how great it looks! Thanks again for all of the suggestions from our customers; we have revamped some of our items, as well as added a few new ones. Keep your eyes peeled for our lovely green and purple to show up in your mailbox soon!

New can be scary, but it can also be wonderful. Here's a quick list of our new menu items and a few changes to existing items. Check out our new items and give them a try. We enjoyed the taste-testing and we think you will too!

 

Breakfast: Bacon Breakfast Burritos, Mini Breakfast Breads

Sandwiches: Sesame Tofu Wrap, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, California Turkey Wrap (now with chipotle sauce) 

Snacks: Superfoods Snack Bar (now with dark chocolate chips) 

Side Salads: Harvest Kale Salad, Moroccan Couscous Salad

Entree Salads: Power Kale Salad

Soups, Stews & Chili: Beef & Mushroom Barley, Moroccan Lentil, Savory Chicken Stew, Veggie Chili (moved from Entrees), Turkey Chili (moved from Entrees)

Hot Entrees: Veggie Pad Thai, Fajita Chicken or Beef Bowl

Hors D'Oeuvres: Antipasto Skewers, Apricot-Glazed Sausage Skewers

Desserts: Brownie & Blondie Platter, Wholesome Dessert Platter, Gluten-Free Raspberry Oat Bars

Drinks: Assorted Beverages Without Water, Organic Breakfast Juices (now using Purity Organic juices)

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the price of eggs and some produce items have gone way, way up in the past year. This means we've had to increase the prices of some of our menu items. We tried to keep these increases to the barest of minimums. 

 

*In an effort to reduce paper we are only mailing 

menus to customers who have ordered in the past year.  

If you do not receive a paper menu by September 4th

5th Annual Boston Local Food Festival

Sunday, September 20th, 11am to 5pm
For one spectacular day each year, SBN transforms the Rose Kennedy Greenway and the City of Boston into the nation's largest local & sustainable food hub! Boston Local Food Festival is a free outdoor festival that showcases farmers, local restaurants, food trucks, specialty food producers, fisher folks, and organizations focusing on healthy food and fitness from New England. The festival also features lively chef & DIY demos, a seafood throwdown competition, diverse music and performances, family fun zone and more.
